We're The Hermit Crabs, from Glasgow, Scotland and we make pop music.

Yep, it's true. We're playing at the Forest Cafe in Edinburgh on Tuesday 20 July with The Specific Heats who are awesome, and from Brooklyn. Honestly, I don't know how much it's going to be, but it's probably going to be quite cheap AND it's for charity - rasing money for Cambodian kids. So a good cause and some pretty decent music. Come along!
We're also playing in Glasgow on Saturday 11 September at Half My Half Beats at the Flying Duck. They'll be other bands too, and I'll tell you who they are when I find out.
Perhaps a little late to the game, but better late than never, right? So if you enjoy finding out exactly when we're going to practice, who brought the snacks, and whether we got the train or a taxi home, you might want to follow us on Twitter. We're @thehermitcrabs and we'd love to hear exactly how you got to work and what you're having for tea, too.
Baffin Island is a collaboration between Mel and Boise, Idaho band The Very Most. Here's what the label EardrumsPop who are bringing this all together have to say about it: It's a really good pop song from the project BAFFIN ISLAND, "You make two weeks two days". Baffin Island is a collaboration between THE VERY MOST and THE HERMIT CRABS, and it's also the exact midpoint between Boise, Idaho, USA (home of The Very Most) and Glasgow, Scotland, UK (home of The Hermit Crabs). The song has a hint of 60s girl groups as well as classic Scot pop.

Yep, we've returned. We've got ourselves a new bass player (say hi to David), a new website, and we've been busy practising and doing all that band stuff. We're looking forward to playing some gigs soon, and we'll let you know when things are happening.
Feel free to send us an email, and if you're so inclined, check out our Facebook page. There's a link up at the top right. There's also a link to our Flickr and YouTube sites, although they're a little empty right now. Not for long though!
